Future Industrial Internet - How future standards, technologies, paradigms and applications will shape the Industry 4.0

14th November 2018, Fraunhofer FOKUS, Berlin, Germany

Are you ready for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and the Industry 4.0? Technologies such as TSN and OPC UA, paradigms such as Edge Computing and Retrofitting, and applications such as Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence will lay the ground for the future of the Industrial Internet.

Therefore, the Berlin Center for Digital Transformation is organizing the international Industrial IoT Forum on November 14th at Fraunhofer FOKUS in Berlin. Meet representatives from the relevant initiatives and enterprises to discuss latest technological IIoT advancements. Alongside cutting-edge IIoT solutions and experiences gained from latest IIoT testbeds and trials will be presented by a broad range of live demonstrations.

The Industrial IoT Forum will present innovations related to IIoT Programmability and Connectivity (Fog Computing, Edge Intelligence, IEEE TSN, 5G, NB-IoT, LoRa), IIoT Interoperability and Security, and IIoT Use Cases (Condition Monitoring, Digital Twins, Retrofitting, Predictive Maintenance, Smart Grid).

Major focus areas include:

  • Connectivity (TSN, 5G, NB-IoT, LoRa)
  • Communication (OPC UA, oneM2M, DDS, WoT)
  • Gateways and Platforms (Fog Computing, Edge Computing, Orchestration)
  • Interoperability (Plattform Industry 4.0, Industrial Internet Consortium,                                              Edge Computing Consortium)
