Hiroyuki Seki received his B.E. degree in Applied Physics from Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan in 1990, and his M.E. degree in Energy Sciences from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan in 1992, and his Ph.D. degree in Communications Engineering from Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan in 2015. From April 1992 to March 2016, He was with Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd., Kanagawa, Japan, where he was engaged in research and development of radio access technologies for mobile communication systems. Since April 2016, He has been with Fujitsu Limited, Kanagawa, Japan, where he is a Senior Manager of CRAN Project Division at Network Products Business Unit. From September 1999 to August 2000, he was a visiting scholar at Stanford University where he studied smart antenna technologies. His current research interests include 5G mobile access technologies. He is a co-recipient of the Best Paper Award of the 76th IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference. He is a senior member of IEICE and IEEE.
Experimental Study of High-Capacity Technologies for 5G Ultra High-Density Distributed Antenna Systems
In 5G mobile communication systems, an effective high-capacity technology is expected by using high-density small cells. We are proposing the ultra high-density distributed antenna systems and studying the coordinated radio resource scheduling for 5G. We developed the experiment system in which we can investigate the wideband coordinated multi-user MIMO transmission with maximum 16 distributed antennas. In this workshop, we introduce our latest field experimental results.
