SQC’s V2X Testbed at ITS World Congress
News from Nov. 23, 2012
SQC researcher Jürgen Großmann presented his lecture on Approaches for testing V2X systems. The FOKUS/Testing Technologies V2X Test Bed for Test Automation at this year's IST World Congress in Vienna, Austria, held from October 22-26, 2012. The V2X Testbed offers the possibility to test cooperative driver assistance systems on its original hardware while including the air interface at the same time (HiL Testbed).
The successful deployment and the sustainable use of V2X technology require high standards for software quality and system interoperability. The systematic testing of V2X applications allows for an efficient assessment of systems quality and provides means to reliably assess interoperability. Certification processes can rely on systematic testing approaches if the tests are widely available and represent generalized scenarios.
The talk presented the V2X test bed developed in simTD and DRIVE C2X and discusses the approach and experiences made by developing and applying tests for different V2X applications and system configurations.
The V2X Testbed is a joint project between Fraunhofer FOKUS and Testing Technologies. It has been developed alongside the V2X FOT projects simTD and Drive and supports the testing of cooperative driver assistance systems, information systems and communication technologies and protocols on both of the platform's projects.
