New Competence Center: System Quality Center (SQC)
News from Jan. 20, 2014
No matter if it is in the transportation sector, in critical infrastructures or in the productive and non-productive sector – technical systems support people reliably almost everywhere in their everyday life. Inside cars such systems care e.g. for air bag deployment at the right time and protect network and data processing systems against attacks. Software-based systems are more and more cross-linked and have to meet a list of demands concerning reliability, confidentiality and access protection. Their breakdown can be cost-intensive and possibly even endanger human life. System quality can provide a reliable protection against this.
The SQC researchers work on model-based engineering and testing methods and assist their clients with the validation, verification and certification of safety-relevant systems. The scope of work ranges from requirement engineering and designing support to operating and testing as well as certificating and permitting IT products.
The System Quality Center SQC is the result of the fusion of the former Competence Centers MOTION (Modeling and Testing for System and Service Solutions) and QUEST (Embedded Systems Quality Management).
The Competence Center SQC is under the new management of Dr. Tom Ritter and Friedrich Schön.
