Pedro Neves received his M.S. and PhD degrees in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Aveiro, Portugal, in 2006 and 2012 respectively. From 2003 to 2006 he joined the Telecommunications Institute (IT), Portugal, and participated in the DAIDALOS-I and DAIDALOS-II European funded projects. In 2006 he joined Portugal Telecom Inovação, Portugal, and participated in several European funded projects (e.g. WEIRD, HURRICANE, FUTON, MEDIEVAL, Cloud4SOA, Mobile Cloud Networking, CoherentPaaS and T-NOVA). He has been involved in six book chapters, as well as more than 30 scientific papers in major journals and international conferences. His research interests are focused on the integration of the NFV (Network Functions Virtualization), SDN (Software Defined Networking) and SFC (Service Function Chaining) paradigms on the telcos ecosystem.
